I'm so glad I'm finally telling ya'll to read River. One of my best friends was ready to shoot me for not telling her about this fic.
"Why didn't you tell me to read River?! It's so good! We talk on the phone all the time, you never mentioned it???"

But, I'll be sure to let everyone else know right now...
I have always been a fan of Cara's work, this is no secret. I love the variety this gals gives me and you never have to wait for updates either, cause she's a writing machine these days!
So when this drabble fic of hers came into my inbox, I was curious. However, after reading the last few lines of the first chapter, I knew I'd be hooked:
"Hey, what's with the frown, darlin'?" Jazz asks, bringing me back to now.
I shake my head to clear it. I smile again, though it feels forced now.
I guess I just wish he could bond more with his son. As for Jazz bonding with me… well… I don't know…
"Just glad to have you home for the weekend," I reply, and it's only the truth for River's sake. I know that.
He hums and turns back to the little one. "Feels good to be back. I've missed a lot."
True.
River does new things everyday.
"His eyes aren't as blue anymore," he comments, giving River an Eskimo kiss. "They almost seem… green."
Hmm?
Well, that's odd. "Probably the lighting in here," I say with a shrug.
Talk about a major freakin' clue! It's one of the most intriguing first chapters I've read, because now I have to continue it! If I don't, I'll die of curiosity, wondering not only how, but why Bella doesn't seem to know!
You get what I'm sayin'???
This is what inspired me to make a banner. Not only do I adore this fic, but that first chapter made such an impression on me, it had to be made into something. And I've always loved this pic of the baby's foot pushing the mom's tummy, I LOVED animating that foot!
River updates at least once a day, usually more. It's romantic, it's heartbreaking, it's sexy as hell & a damn good mystery!
