This story, by my dear friend Suzie, is one of my favorite drama/angst fics at the moment. It also is one of her best stories yet. It's real, it's raw, heartbreaking, romantic and sexy.This E&B knew each other their whole lives, being next door neighbors with windows right across from each other. But once High School begins, they go their separate ways.
You really want to these two to be together, but they make mistakes. They're young and immature, but learning to grow and be adults as well. They make the bad decisions & smart decisions, that a real teenager would make, not a teenager who is like a '40 year old stuck in a 17 year old's body'. No, these kids are realistic.
She dropped her eyes, knowing he was right. She looked back up on a new mission. "Edward, please don't jump."
"I have to. What would everyone say? Cullen's a pussy," he shrugged.
"Who cares? We're all leaving soon. Why do you still care what they think?"
He turned away from her. He couldn't look into her deep, meaningful, caring eyes any longer. He needed to focus on the jump in front of him.
"If you jump, I'll jump right after you," she threatened, looking determined.He faced her immediately. "You won't make it. You have to be a strong swimmer, Bella. That would be stupid-"
"That would be suicide, but at least everyone would think I went down in a blaze of glory."
"Why would it matter what everyone thought if you were dead?"
"Exactly, Edward. You're better than this. You're better than them," she pointed over her shoulder towards James. "You're better than this place."
They both peered over the edge one more time and saw Jake laying spread eagle on the beach with Jasper jumping around in excitement near him.
"I'm weak," Edward whispered to her.
If it wasn't for the wind blowing towards her, Bella might never have caught his words.
"You're stronger than you think you are." At that, she walked away.
This story updates often, about 3-4 times a week. This is a good thing, because as much as I love angst and drama, I hate waiting to see what happens next. A fast moving angsty story is perfect for me! But be warned, it's not all fluffy, but in the end, it's an E&B story. And Suzie always gives us a HEA.
I hope ya'll like this banner! It was originally made by Suzie55's husband (what an awesome hubs, right?). He extended the window on the other side, added the perfect Bella & even added more to her body so that she could fit! He did an amazing job on this.
Me? I only animated it. I got the easy end of that stick! And because it was such a perfect representation of this story, I didn't mess with it too much but adding a bunch of animations to clutter it. The simplicity of it says it all. Enjoy!
